Inspiration comes from so many different places, things you see, events in your life….especially when hockey playoff season starts! Haha! Sketched these, and many other pages out, before going over to Easton Bell for an interview….worked on a few more after the Sharks won a crazy game last night OT. Gotta work on sketching human heads, get that proportion down….none the less, pretty fun to sketch out!
It has been ONE whole year since our first post here @ Lineweights! We want to thank everyone who takes valuable time out of their day to check out some of our work. Feeling tired and rusty? Been a while since you last sketched? Need a pick-me-up, that will get your marker started? Sketching warm ups are the best way to break that silence between your pen and paper. It will help your brain visualize your next move and learn to build confident lines. This technique shown here is most commonly taught at Art Center in Pasadena, and Scott Robertson being the biggest proponent! I threw on his DVD and did a little sketch warm ups.
