Happy Friday to all!

I’m diggin Chris Sander’s work right now and trying to collect all his sketchbooks from comic-con…I love how he draws all his girls short and stacked front to back!

my tribute sketch to the awesome director/animator/producer/etc Mr Sanders…(he directed Lilo & Stich and How to Train Your Dragon)

Megan inked her up like Ariel and gave her a little midriff…YES!

Smokin!

Been really inspired by Brian Viveros lately, I definitely want to own some of his art one of these days! Took about 5 underlays to get this one right, its still to heavy in line work, but the body pose feels right. Done on trace paper with razor point, chartpack and a bit of prisma.

referencing from a photo,  i was trying to do mainly hatching in one direction to somehow shape the form of her head – especially in her hair.

trying out the red pen thing.  all my pens suck.  i was working on this and the ink kept leaving wet spots so i would start blotching all over this.  i now have dried red ink on the underside of my hand opposite of my thumb. had to cut it short.

looking like a good thing that i stopped! didn’t want to over-work this.

Femme 2

Hey Fellas,

Here is another portrait, this time from a pic. I found it hard to capture the likeness of the pic, any pointers? Other than that I also couldn’t get her to look at the camera/viewer, any tips would be appreciated. I was going to use this as an underlay  as I started with a verithin on trace paper, but I ended up just working it up with prisma. I may try to simplify it again on bond paper. Let me know your thoughts and critics guys, as always please be honest! its the only way we will all get better!
