Sticking on the subject of females…

I found this drawing I did as a commission for someone a few years back. Back then I was really into vectoring my inks making them really nice and crisp, but it also took a lot of time. First one is the sketch done in col-erase pencil and defined with HB graphite. Below is the drawing vectorized in Illustrator.

Kingers, lookin good! I really like the development of the garment in the top sketch, and how it translated into clean line work below. Well done man!

Well there goes my samurai chick, I guess I draw up a different idea. Nice Job though, the vector does look very good.

Naw dood. You should still draw a samurai chick if you have one. Gotta throw down.

good job on the first sketch showing yourself drawing through all the drapery to build the woman’s structure underneath…

hey king, how did you get varying lineweights with illustrator? are the all outlines with filled color?

Indeed! All those vectors are all fills. Not a single stroke. This is why inking with vectors takes a pretty long time though I’ve seen other inkers vector line work pretty fast.
